Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher- A book review.
"The part where you give up your whole life here for me."
"Life without you is hardly considered life at all, so I'm not going to give up anything by
following you to San Francisco."
With that, I buried my face in the pillow and screamed silently so my family wouldn't think I was crazy.
Hey there! As an Interior Design student, I couldn't resist getting my hands on a book where the main character is an Interior Designer herself. It was on my to-be-read list for a while until one of my friends surprised me with it on a special occasion. I was so thrilled that I had to keep myself from screaming in the middle of the crowd. Anyway, I'm here to share the book's content with you (which is already available online) in case you haven't had the chance to check it out yet.
Julian
If I ever caught on fire, Dahlia Muñoz would fan the flames with a smile. So, when she returns to Lake Wisteria, I fully intend to avoid the interior designer.
At least until my meddling mother exploits my savior complex.
The faster I help Dahlia find her creative spark, the sooner she will leave town.
But while I was busy getting rid of Dahlia, I overlooked one potential issue.
What happens if I want her to stay?
Dahlia
People say the devil has many faces, but I know only one.

I vow to steer clear of him while recovering from my broken engagement, but then the billionaire makes an irresistible offer.
Renovate a historic house together and triple our profits.
Our temporary truce becomes compromised as we face years’ worth of denied attraction and mixed emotions.
Giving into our desire is inevitable…but falling in love?
That isn’t part of the plan.

Julian and Dahlia are already connected through their history, let due to some family conflicts growing up they start to develop hatred for eachother as well. But we all know hatred always develops through miscommunication and lack of knowledge about one other so when Julian offers her a renovation project that offer ends up clearing most of the misconceptions they had about one another.
The synopsis already shows its Enemies to Lover (screaming), Slowburn, and Egostic characters. Yes, they are so high in ego that they might fit (Boyfriend by Ariana Grande).
Please take note of the following information. There are some monologues and dialogues in the book that are in Spanish. If you are someone who loves Spanish, then you might enjoy these parts. However, if Spanish is not your thing, I understand.
Also, please be aware that there is a lot of adult language in the book, including explicit scenes and frequent use of the F-word. If this is not something you are comfortable with, I suggest you skip those parts. Most of the time, these scenes are not integral to the story, so you won't miss out on any important plot points.
Overall, the book has an enjoyable plot, especially if you are into slow-burn romance, angst, and aggressive confession.
